How do I get a warning when stock is running low?

Written by Alex CY WongLast updated 5 October 2026

Set a Warn below level for each location a product is held at. When what's available there drops to that number or lower, itemit flags it.

#Setting the level

When you add a product to a location, set Warn below under Low-stock alert. To set or change it later:

  1. Open the product.

  2. Click the edit thresholds button (the pencil) on the location's row.

  3. Enter the Warn below number, or leave it empty for no warning.

  4. Click Save.

The level is per location, and per variant when the product has variants. That way 5 left in a van can still flag while the warehouse is full.

#Where low stock shows

  • The status changes to Warning, or Critical at half the level or below, and Out of stock when nothing is left.

  • The product page shows a banner such as "1 location is low", naming each location with how many are left.

  • The Low stock and Out of stock cards at the top of the Inventory catalogue count the products affected. Click a card to show just those products.

  • The Inventory card on a location's profile counts its low and out of stock products.

  • Reports › Product Inventories can be filtered by status.

  • In the mobile app, you can filter the Inventory list to Low or Out.
